Jess Lacoursiere (She/Her)

I'm a strength and running coach who is also certified in prenatal and postpartum care.

I coach an anti-diet nutrition program called FOOD FREEDOM where we focus on healing your relationship with food and building a SUSTAINABLE one.

I help my clients ditch the ‘all or nothing’ mindset in ALL aspects of their lives!

I’m also an athlete, parent and outdoorsy gal.

Find me out on the trails running or biking, skiing on water or snow and enjoying the sunshine!

I have been a certified personal trainer since 2011 and since then have completed my certification as a corrective exercise specialist, post natal fitness specialist and spent time working with many diverse 1:1 clients as well as coaching group fitness.

I was once a long distance triathlete with a laundry list of nagging injuries. In 2017 I decided enough was enough, I stopped racing triathlon and spent the next 2 years getting f*cking strong and racing bikes.

Because of strength training (and some patience) I was able to heal, thrive and go from lying on treatment tables weekly to standing on top of the podium.

I also spent 4.5 years working at a busy physio clinic as an exercise therapist. While I learned a lot about injuries and rehab, I also learned that I wanted more independence in my career and because of that JLac Fitness was born!

I believe all training should be done with purpose. There are no junk miles or filler exercises here. Just science-based, high quality work.

I believe in education, confidence building, questioning, and doing something DIFFERENT!

I’m committed to providing an anti-racist, gender-inclusive, pro-choice space where your priorities are valued and highlighted.
